Fucoidan is part of the composition of brown algae, which is found in the cell envelope and is a sulfated polysaccharide with a complex structure. It is extracted from the cell envelope in an independent substance with strong activity. Since 1913, it has been used in Asia as a widely used ingredient in medicine and cosmetics.
